5 AWESOME Event Apps

OVER THE PAST FEW YEARS, WE'VE SEEN A BOOM IN THE USE OF MOBILE APPS TO HELP MAKE EVENTS MORE CONNECTED AND TO REDUCE THE REAMS AND REAMS OF PAPER WASTE THAT USED TO BE A GIVEN FOR LARGE-SCALE EVENTS.

WE THINK THIS IS GREAT... BUT A BIT OVERWHELMING. SO WE THOUGHT WE'D SHARE FIVE OF OUR FAVORITE EVENT-RELATED APPS TO HELP YOU SIFT THROUGH THE NOISE.

1. QUICKMOBILE

QuickMobile has one main goal: to create a meaningful attendee experience. Specifically, their app helps improve the mobile event management experience in three major ways:

1. Helping attendees engage, connect, and share

2. Integrate marketing for sponsors and speakers

3. Improve ROI with sophisticated analytics

Quickmobile is available in plug-and-play options and "white pages" customization. Watch this quick video to get a feel for how it works.

2. Double Dutch

Double Dutch is considered to be the industry leader in "white pages" apps—or rather, apps that are customized for each client.

They offer a comprehensive suite of tools to streamline user experience, for attendees to interact socially via messaging and photo sharing, as well as networking solutions, event scheduling and mapping technology.

Double Dutch only operates as a "white pages" app—fully customized for each client. This drives up the cost, of course (starting at $1,000 per event, up to $10,000+ depending on size and scope) but as the saying goes, "You get what pay for."

As an added bonus, DoubleDutch integrates with iBeacon—an app that lets event producers and planners track attendee engagement in real-time.

3. Attendify

Attendify was built on the idea that optimal networking is the best method for audience conversion. An excellent plug-and-play app (with white page options), Attendify offers lots of customization options at a relatively low base price ($999 for the first event).

Some of our favorite features support private social networking and all-digital event guidebooks.

They're also able to develop a custom enterprise-specific app, if that's more your cup of tea.

4. Crowd Compass

CrowdCompass makes it super-easy to snap a photo of someone you meet at an event and send text-like messages so you don't lose touch. Perfect for networking (especially once the business cards run out!)

Audiences get features like personalized bookmarks, notifications and clear navigation of event schedules with interactive maps.

Top-tier ROI support gives comprehensive data about what parts of your event is working best and what needs to be optimized for the future.

5. Grupio

Grupio provides either a semi-customized or fully-bespoke platform for you to communicate all of your event details. You can create surveys, push branding and advertisements, or schedule meetings.

Grupio is available in three levels: Express, Custom, and Multi-Event. Express is available free to universities and $500 for the rest of us. Prices go up from there.
